The Homechoice lettings scheme is a new approach to the way in which Erimus Housing allocates its vacant properties. The scheme gives you the opportunity to search for a home of your choice in Middlesbrough and means that you no longer have to wait for an offer of accommodation that somebody else thinks might be suitable for you.
To express your interest in vacant properties advertised, you first need to become an applicant of the scheme. You can do this by registering an application online by clicking on the ‘register’ button at the top of this page or by completing a paper registration form, available from the Homechoice property shop or any local Erimus Housing office. You must be 16 years or over to become eligible to join the scheme
The Homechoice lettings scheme provides greater choice for people looking for affordable housing to rent in Middlesbrough. To ensure we maximise the housing options available to our tenants and customers, we advertise other Registered Social Landlord properties on the scheme. Each property advertised is labelled in such a way to say who can apply and also includes the name of the landlord.
The ‘news section’ on this page lets you know when the bidding cycle is open, so you can search the system and express your interest in available properties advertised.
